After getting fuck-all for their salvage haul yet again Casarin quits on his jackass employer in a fit of rage, the duo decide to "get some food" and return to their ship. Without a job, home, or many friends, Oasis convinces him to use their last resource: mysterious maps that were left to her after her parents perished. The next day they set out with hopes of finding something that'll impress a new employer enough to ignore their ever expanding list of issues. Anything, something to get them to climb up the ladder.

But on their "little tour" around the abandoned facility they run into a mysterious mage and his companion demon. Rather than unproductively kill each other they decide to help one another out. Both receiving a little more than they bargained for and falling into something deeper than they ever wanted.
